Reporting to the Head of Business Unit Wood Wool, this position is to facilitate top line and bottom line growth initiatives within the Heraklith community. Key to success is to build and implement country specific Sales and Marketing plans through the establishment of a Heraklith task force with local stakeholders. Within the role, the expectation is to drive the setup of initiatives and implementation in the focus countries and being a leading role in getting things done by influencing the community.
The main tasks of the position are listed below:
Develop and implement short, medium and long-term marketing & sales strategies based on relevant value propositions, by understanding the market dynamics and the majority level of each market and it's potential ;
Optimize and update sales and marketing strategy; define channels, define route-to-market and collaborate with the task force ;
Identify potential new applications within markets and ensure opportunity assessment ;
Drive business initiatives and projects created by the Heraklith Task force by actively managing priority projects ;
Interact closely with product development and technical group; communicate customer requirements and market developments, discuss sales opportunities and work together with product development to innovate and develop new applications/markets ;
Work closely with Knauf Insulation central marketing team to capitalize on group initiatives suitable for the wood wool business ;
Establish performance indicators and benchmarks related to marketing strategy implementation and business performance. Measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis and present results to task force.
To succeed in this position, the person must have sales experience and a proven leadership track record, preferably within a project management role. A strong strategic approach in developing businesses within an industrial and international environment is needed.

He or she understands the benefits of the products and solutions, matches these to the customer's needs and is able to grasp expectations to put these into a solid marketing and sales strategy.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a master degree, preferably in Marketing ;
Fluent in English, German. Any other language represents an asset ;
Project Management experience ;
Advanced data analysis, MS Excel and PowerPoint skills ;
Knowledge of lean process/continuous improvement initiatives is a plus ;
Strong verbal and written communication skills ;
Analytical, decision support and strategic thinking skills ;
The role is based in Simbach, Germany or Ferndorf, Austria and it will require extensive international traveling.
